I’m delighted to share some exciting news about the future of RentGuarantor Holdings PLC.

Today the board of RentGuarantor announced its intention to move to AIM, the London Stock Exchange’s market for small and medium size growth companies.

We have spent the last few years optimising and advancing our growth strategy. In 2024, this growth was reflected in a total revenue increase of 72% year-on-year and a 50% rise in the number of tenant contracts. This growth has also been paired with the onboarding of new team members, the development of technology that can augment our capacity to process new enquiries and contracts, and a major increase in the number of letting agents we work with, which now totals approximately 1500 throughout the UK. So, we believe that the timing is right for this exciting proposed move to AIM.

RentGuarantor has been a quoted company since December 2021 through its shares trading on the AQSE Growth Market. Whilst we have had a positive experience as an AQSE traded company, we feel that now is the right time for our quotation to reflect the growth we have achieved to date and the scale we envisage the company reaching in the future.

For this reason, we’ve made the decision to progress our admission to AIM, the London Stock Exchange’s market for small and medium size growth companies. AIM was launched in 1995 as a market of the London Stock Exchange, offering growing companies the opportunity to float shares under a more flexible regulatory system than the Main Market. Whilst AIM is a great place for retail shareholders to trade shares, its investor base includes an increased level of institutional investors and wealthy individuals, enabling RentGuarantor to access a greater pool of potential capital. AIM boasts a number of internationally renowned businesses, including fashion giant Boohoo Group PLC, and multinational airline and travel company Jet2 PLC.

We are also fortunate to be progressing the AIM Designated Market approach to admission. This route, which allows for a more streamlined admission process, is available specifically to companies that have traded on an AIM Designated Market, such as AQSE, and meet certain criteria including having been traded for at least 18 months prior to the date of admission to AIM. This more efficient route to market means that we anticipate our first day of dealings on AIM being this summer.

In relation to the admission, RentGuarantor has appointed Allenby Capital as its Corporate Adviser, which, once the company is AIM-quoted, Allenby Capital is to become its Nominated Adviser. Nominated Advisers, or Nomads as they are often known, are approved by the London Stock Exchange and are a requirement for AIM-quoted companies, ensuring that businesses act in line with their regulatory obligations and uphold the highest levels of corporate governance and transparency.

At RentGuarantor, we aim to align our strategy and decision making with the interests of our valued shareholders, and I firmly believe that this move will be positive for all our stakeholders. AIM, as a much larger and more established market than AQSE, allows for improved liquidity; in short, it should be easier for existing and potential investors to trade in the shares of RentGuarantor. RentGuarantor’s decision to join AIM also marks a significant move within the context of our sector; we would be the first rent guarantee company to be quoted on an exchange of this size, providing us with a first mover advantage over our competitors.

In line with this, the Renters’ Reform Bill, 2025, currently going through the UK Parliament is expected to introduce legislation that reshapes many aspects of the Private Rental Sector (PRS). This reform is long overdue, as it is nearly 50 years since the legislation was first enacted.

One of the headline changes that this bill is expected bring is that landlords will be prohibited from accepting more than one month’s rent in advance. The impact of this clause in the legislation will most likely drive landlords to seek additional security requiring the tenant to provide a guarantor.

At RentGuarantor, and with our proposed AIM admission, we are now very well placed both corporately and operationally to deal with the guarantor needs of tenants and landlords across the UK.

Our decision to seek to become an AIM-quoted company is not just a reflection of the growth we have achieved to date but is also an indication of our ambitions for the future, as we strive to become the dominant and premier brand in the PRS in the UK, and will be doing so with access to a world-leading stock market.
